In 1954, my Dad first entered public service as a Clay County Commissioner. I was seven years old. After his retirement in the early 1980's, I chose to follow in his footsteps and in 1984 was elected to my first term on the Clay County commission. I continued to serve the great citizens of this county as a Commissioner for 16 years. Public service has literally been a way of life since my early childhood, and has greatly defined who I am.
Besides my elected service, I also taught in our public high schools for 39 years, 16 years of which I was Assistant Principal at both Clay High (4 years) and Orange Park High (12 years). My years teaching and serving as a local school administrator, combined with my elected experiences, have prepared me to serve as your Clerk of the Courts.
I greatly value your informed opinion and need your vote of confidence. I look forward to continuing my public service and leading the courthouse staff as we ensure that Clay County remains a great place to live and raise our families.
